| Extend the run length between the exterior antenna the Wi-Ex zBoost Base Unit with the lowest loss RG6 cable available (RG-6 Quad Shield). We only recommend extending your cable length if it allows you to locate the Signal Antenna in a location with better reception. When using over 60 feet of cable, we recommend upgrading to Ultra Low Loss RG-11 cable and/or a stronger Signal Antenna to prevent signal degradation (see below). Our cable is tested to 3000MHz and uses top grade weather resistant Thomas & Betts compression fittings. To connect this cable to your existing Wi-Ex exterior cable use the 2GHz rated F/Female to F/Female splice. Because additional dB signal loss will decrease overall coverage area, we recommend upgrading to a stronger signal antenna (for example, the Wi-Ex zBoost Dual-Band Exterior Antenna Upgrade (YX029-PCS-CEL) which is compatible with the YX510-PCS-CEL) to prevent signal degradation when using over 60 feet of cable. For best performance, completely replace the RG-6 cabling with Ultra Low Loss RG-11.
