Wilson Cellular Wide Band Log Periodic Directional Antenna model 304475 will collect the cell tower signal and send it through the cable to an amplifier, cell phone or cellular data card. When the cell phone or cellular data card transmits, the signal is transferred to an amplifier or directly to the antenna and broadcast back to the cell tower.
The main benefit of the this unique multi-band Yagi antenna is its ability to focus its signal in one direction leading to the greater gain figures. This antenna is designed for use on stationary objects such as buildings. If this antenna is not correctly aimed, it will lose its effectiveness. This unique multi-band directional antenna covers the entire spectrum from 800 MHz to 2.5 GHz and can be used for all cellular frequencies including North American standard 850 and 1900 MHz bands, Euro/Asian standard 900 and 1800 MHz bands, WCDMA 2.1 GHz, Nextel 800 MHz, and the 2.5 GHz WiFi band.
This directional ultra wideband log periodic antenna covers a very wide frequency range with high gain. Because it covers both cellular, PCS and WiFi worldwide frequencies, it is very useful for CPE equipment and base station equipment needed for these frequency bands minimizing the amount of equipment needed for each service location. This antenna can be used indoors or outdoors and comes complete with all components needed for pole mounting or wall mounting (does not include the pole - see FMW4/YMST4.) The sealed housing is UV stabilized ABS plastic. The back plate is stainless steel with stainless steel fasteners. All bracket components are stainless steel as well for corrosion protection. The pigtail is 18" outdoor rated cable terminated with a 75 Ohm F type connector.
Features:
- High-gain
- Directional
- Pipe mounting hardware included
- Easy to install
- Weather resistant
- Wide bandwidth
Applications:
- Cellular, PCS or WiFi repeaters
- Indoor Cellular, PCS or WiFi extenders
- WISP equipment
- Non-line of sight
Requires:
- Cable: This antenna includes no cable
- This is a 75 Ohm antenna compatible with the Connect 4G and Connect RV 65
Cable:
The antenna includes no cable. wpsantennas.com has premade cables in various lengths or you can customize your cable needs by selecting the desired length and grade utilizing our custom coax cable configuration tool.
For longer runs, we suggest using RG-11 quad shield ultra low loss coax. This cable is fairly stiff so plan accordingly when determining your installation and usage. You can also use an F female to F female adapter and a short RG-58 jumper to reduce the cable size at or near the repeater location.
The primary difference between RG-6 and RG-11 is the dB signal loss. RG-6 loses approximately 9.4 dB/100' @ 1000 MHz while RG-11 loses about 2.5dB/100' @ 1000 MHz (which is a big difference).
