The Wi-Ex zBoost cell zone signal booster is a revolutionary, patent-pending new product that improves indoor cell phone coverage. zBoost captures the wireless signal outside, brings it inside and enhances, or boosts it - Extending a Cell Zone in your home or office.
Coverage Area: The zBoost can provide up to 2500 sq ft of coverage depending upon the
carrier's exterior signal strength, location of the exterior antenna and the
number and construction of interior walls. For situations where the exterior
signal is poor (worse than -70dB or 3 bars or less) or increased coverage area
is required you have two options:
| How It Works
Using a revolutionary, patent pending technology that protects the carrier network, zBoost improves indoor cell phone coverage by capturing and repeating the outside signal, bringing it into the building and enhancing it. This process creates a Cell Zone in the home or office.
The
zBoost system includes:
- Outdoor antenna
(repeats the signal): Can be installed outdoors above the roofline
(best performance) or indoors in the attic or near a window
- Coax cable (50' RG6 -
Ultra Low Loss, DBS Satellite): Connects the outdoor antenna to the
base unit
- Base unit: Sleekly
designed, it amplifies the signal and provides oscillation
detection/correction which protects the carrier network using patent
pending technology
- Indoor antenna:
Connects to the base unit to repeat the signal and create a "cell
zone". No physical connection to the phone is required.
- Warranty: 1 Year
Manufacturer's Warranty covering parts and labor
zBoost repeats and
amplifies the signal and is frequency dependent. zBoost works with most
phones and carriers except Nextel.

using in your zip code.

Cable Notes:
Please note that the Wi-Ex zBoost uses 75 ohm cable between the
exterior antenna and base unit, not
standard 50 ohm cellular cable therefore our standard extensions are not
compatible. For additional cabling, you can use high grade RG-6 cable. For total
runs over 70', we highly recommend the
antenna upgrade as well
as replacing the RG-6 cable with 75 ohm RG-11 cable (lower loss cable.)
