Cell Phone Antennas for Vehicles
The T-Mobile US 3G Network which is beginning to roll
out operates on the 1700MHz AWS band (unlike the 3G Networks of AT&T, Verizon, Sprint,
Alltel, etc which operate on the 800MHz Cellular and/or 1900MHz PCS bands.) Currently,
there is a limited number of antennas which support 1700MHz AWS and no amplifiers/repeaters.

If your phone or data card does not have a functional external antenna adapter port,

Wireless Repeater Systems for Home and Building Use
For wireless coverage inside of a building, a
wireless repeater system
may be used. Both single band and dual-band systems are available. Depending upon
your zip code, AT&T (Cingular) uses either 800MHz, 1900MHz or both (dual-band).

may be used to help determine which bands that you need.
