Option Wireless Technology GlobeSurfer III is a 3G data and voice wireless gateway router that connects to the internet by mobile network providers and allows a local network to share this internet connection through Wireless LAN and Ethernet. GlobeSurfer III is easy to setup and administer using any Internet browser and features a Quick-Setup-Wizard. The GlobeSurfer III is easy to use too, with just two buttons and a clear, color
display screen. The browser has been sub-divided into two sections, so users who only require basic features such as SMS, Telephone, Quick Set-Up and Security can perform all these tasks without having to navigate through more complex functions within the advanced section.
How it works:
Simply place your SIM card inside the router and the internal antenna will be used to establish a connection to the mobile Internet provider. The built in advanced receiver technology always gets the best out of the cell network you use, even on the borders of network coverage (Receiver Diversity and
Equalization)
Fast:
Using HSPA you can connect with up to 7.2 Mbit/s download speeds and up to 5.7 Mbit/s upload speeds
(depending on local conditions and technology used from your network provider). Using WLAN 802.11 b/g you gain up to 54 Mbit/s in your wireless network.
Secure:
GlobeSurfer III features WEP as well as WPA, WPA2 support
