About the inline
amplifier included with this kit:
The Cellphone-Mate SureCall CM2000
signal booster (inline amplifier) included with this kit is a high-performance
amplifier that boosts the signal of most cell phones by 10x. This amplifier has
been proven to provide excellent cell phone signal reception as far as 60 miles
away from the nearest Base Station Transmitting Tower! It will make you feel
like you're right next to the tower, without actually being there, or having a
tower anywhere in sight. This AC or DC powered amplifier is FCC-Approved, and
provides the maximum output power allowed by the FCC for use by
non-broadcasters. Yet, the new 6V design is more-efficient than comparable 12V
designs, and runs safer and cooler.
With the SureCall CM2000 Amplifier doing all the long-range work, the battery on
your cell phone drains slower, thereby increasing talk time. Also, with proper
use of the SureCall CM2000, dangerous hot spots are removed a safe distance from
the user's body.
What makes the
CM2000-WPS kit different?
This kit is not the same as other
CM2000 kits available. The CM2000-WPS kit contains a better performing
antenna than the stock
kit. The CM2000-WPS also includes a
5' RG-58 extension cable
to connect between the amplifier and the
cell phone external
antenna adapter cable. Without this extension cable the distance between
your phone and the amplifier is limited to the length of the adapter cable which
is typically 18" (i.e. too short).
How the unit
functions:
The 800MHz and 1900MHz cellular signal from the cell site is received by the
included
AA-012 Mini Magnetic Antenna. The signal is then amplified and transmitted to your phone through the
cell phone external antenna
adapter cable (sold separately). When the phone transmits, the signal is sent to the amplifier through the adapter and then amplified and sent to the cell site through the outside antenna.
Compatible with:
All US Cellular/PCS carriers except iDEN carriers such as Nextel, SouthernLinc, Mike (Canada). iDEN users should use the 3 Watt Direct Connection Amplifier for Nextel/iDEN. Not compatible with 1700MHz AWS (T-Mobile US 3G).
Compatible carriers include: Verizon, AT&T GSM/GPRS/TDMA, Cingular, Alltel, Sprint PCS, T-Mobile (850MHz, 1900MHz), Cellular One, US Cellular, Midwest Wireless, Qwest, etc
Ideal for use with car kits requiring an external antenna. Adapter may be required to connect to your particular car kit.
