The ARC Wireless Freedom antenna provides superior omni-directional coverage in the 800 MHz to 3.5 GHz range with 1dB of gain.
A phone adapter cable is required to connect the ARC Wireless Freedom Antenna to your cell phone or wireless card.
Note: We offer the FME version of the
Freedom Antenna which will connect directly to our
phone adapter cables. If you purchase a
Freedom Antenna from another vendor you may receive the TNC version in which
case you will also need an
FME/F to TNC/F adapter.

- FME vs TNC
We offer the ARC Wireless Freedom
Antenna with an FME connector whereas many others offer the antenna
with a TNC connector. The FME or TNC connector describes the type of
connector used to connect to an
antenna adapter.
The antenna adapter is what allows the antenna to be connected to a
particular phone or device. Without the antenna adapter, the antenna
can not be used with your phone/device. Our selection of
FME antenna
adapters is one of the largest available and greatly exceeds the
number of TNC antenna adapters available allowing you maximum
flexibility with your antenna. Should you already have a TNC
antenna, you can adapt it to work with our adapters by using the
FME/M to TNC/M
adapter.
- ARC Wireless Freedom Antenna
Plus
The ARC Wireless Freedom Antenna
Plus is the an ARC Wireless Freedom Antenna plus a passive adapter
for use with phones that have no antenna adapter available (for
example, most new Nokia phone.) While it does not perform as well as
the antenna with a standard antenna adapter it does perform better
than the phone alone. We do not offer the ARC Wireless Freedom
Antenna Plus as it is functionally equivalent to the standard
antenna used with our
passive adapter.

Instructions:
- Power off wireless device
- Attach the phone adapter cable
(not included) to the antenna cable
- Plug connector into antenna port on wireless device
- Power on wireless device
Home and Office Use:
- When installing Freedom Antenna in pedestal, antenna label should face
pedestal cable exit
- Place antenna as close to exterior window as possible
- Attach to the top of your laptop using a laptop clip (sold separately)
Vehicle Use:
- Adhere suction cups to antenna in designated circles above and below
label
- Make sure glass surface is clean on area of installation
- Moisten suction cups and adhere antenna to glass
- Connect antenna to wireless device
- Attach to the vent in most vehicles using a vent clip (sold separately)
Installation Tips:
- Antenna should be mounted vertically to maximize performance
- Antenna should not be mounted against metal
Please note that some signal must exist in order for the Arc Wireless Freedom Antenna to function. For extremely poor signal situations we recommend an exterior mount antenna such as the Wilson Cellular Dual-Band Magnetic Mount (for vehicles) or Wilson Cellular Dual-Band Trucker (for home, buildings).
