About the Digi Connect WAN GSM
The Digi Connect WAN GSM, a wireless WAN
gateway, provides high-performance wireless TCP/IP data communications via
cellular GSM networks for primary and backup connectivity to remote locations.
It utilizes General Packet Radio Service (GPRS)/Enhanced Data Rates for GSM
Evolution (EDGE) to offer an easy and cost-effective means of connecting
virtually any remote location into the corporate IP network. It is ideal for use
where wired networks (e.g., lease line/frame relay, CSU/DSU, fractional T1) are
not feasible or where alternative network connections are required.
